Well it is that time of year! The time that we are all rushing around trying to figure out what to get or do for our loved ones this holiday season. While I feel happy and am enjoying the carols, lights and decoration, I don't feel that special feeling that usually comes this time of year. I can't quite put my finger on why, or what is missing. As I think about it though, just what does create the feeling? How about you? What creates it for you?
Even if I don't find my inspired holiday feeling, I am happy and grateful to have such a wonderful family and large group of friends!
What ever you celebrate, I hope yours is a happy and festive one!

Gotta Love California Rainy Days
It was raining off and on all day today. I love days like this. It's not to terribly cold (hovered around 60 F) and it gives you that nice cozy feel. It inspired me to do a bit of catching up on things that I could put off for a day like this. So, I caught up on laundry, house cleaning, sorting through clothes, e-mails, Realty News that isn't urgent, and this blog. The best part is when all the catch up is done and you still have a nice rainy evening to relax with the family by a fire, cocoa in hand watching movies like Alice! I hope everyone is having a wonderful rainy day!

It's been a long time...
Life happens and sometimes you get swallowed up. Here's what's going on;
Last month my mom had a heart valve replaced by a pig one. Now she is doing great and we are teasing her that now she is Ms. Piggy. She feels better than she remembers ever feeling.
Jim's work has been getting worse. They are pressuring the drivers not to take their breaks or lunches and changing the safety rules every other week. They have cut back our benefits and there will be just a .25 raise in the next three years.
On a better note, my career looks promising and I feel like the wheels of an income are starting to roll. It will be nice when I feel like I have finally managed to get some traction. Not quite spinning my wheels, but not yet in full gear. Progress is progress and I am ecstatic about it. Right now I am helping some friends buy a home (more like a ranch). Things are looking good and they are very happy. What a great feeling! I do love my job.
Chalise, is coming up on the end of her Japanese III class and may just get an A! Cameron, is learning a thing or two on computers. He has been messing with codes and languages like HTML. He is offering to give my blog a better look. I think we will see what he can do.
Jim, is currently on vacation. Two days ago we went up to Deep Creek and found a couple of deer. We also found some beautiful views!
Yesterday we went to Venice Beach. What an experience and what a change from the mountains!
Today, Chalise and I are going to see Stuart Little at the Laguna Playhouse. One of Chalise's friends is in the play. I was very impressed (both with the playhouse and Ashley Nelson) the last time we went to see one of these plays. I'm sure it will be great!

Up to speed!
OK, My paperwork is all filled out and sent off to Sacramento. Now I wait for my license in the mail. Meanwhile I am going to training. Every Sat. for at least 6 weeks and some Fridays as well. Whew, my life is picking up. Chalise starts her Jap 2 class this Monday and I will be calling to schedule Chalise and Cameron music lessons.
Today we went for a nice walk in the sun with the dog. Jim will be switching his schedule to days on Friday! Things are good. Now I just hope I will still have enough family time. :)
